Four new bags just added to the shop! (85 days until Christmas...just saying.) Two Coopers and two Kodys, all in beautiful fall colors.
*Shipping note: Wednesday, Oct 4th, Amazing Husband and I are heading north for a much needed 10 day vacation (more on that tomorrow.) I will ship purchased bags Monday the 2nd and Tuesday the 3rd. Any bags purchased after that will be marked SOLD, but not shipped until Monday Oct. 16th. If you can't wait that long, order before mid-day Tuesday.
Back when Three Dog Designs was first conceived we decided to try and be creative in the way we marketed the bags. (Somewhat easier said than done.) We decided to divide the bag designs into three categories named for each of the three dogs. The Coopers are huge, Kodys not quite so huge, Samten......I couldn't get this one right. We tried a smallish bag for sock type knitting and it sort of flopped. I rolled the dilemma of the Samten bag over in my head for months until I finally decided that Samten's category ought to be something like Sam, impossible to pigeon hole. Sam's has a beautiful free, funky spirit and so will his bags. For the Samten area of the shop I am going to create fun, unusual, perhaps occasionally outrageous bags. The first four are there for your perusal. Stop by the shop and have a look.
Just updated the SHOP with a new bag. I have to admit that I kind of dig this one. I'm working on some new designs of a funkier nature that should be in the shop in the next week or two.
Finally, some new bags in the shop. About time, don't you think? May and June just went by in a blur here in Muttville. My mother's hip surgery and consequent recovery time took all my energy and then some. Life is returning to a normal pattern now and I'm spending much more quality time with Mr. Sewing Machine.
There are 4 new bags in the smaller "Kody" size and one big ol "Cooper". There should be another Cooper up in the next day or two. I didn't have it finished in time for the photo session. All of these bags have something new; beaded stitch markers! Pinned to the front for easy access are 5 stitch markers beaded to coordinate with the bag. (I'm sort of obsessed with the little details.)
In the next couple of weeks we will be unveiling a completely new style of bag, so stay tuned! Remember, commission bags are always welcome!

Life has been sort of a blur the last few days. It's amazing all the stuff you can do if you have a car. :-) (Thanks again, Steve!) I got my hair cut on Friday, which was HUGE for me. Just some of the bad ends off and a few layers. I'm having some trouble adjusting to having bangs again, but otherwise I really love it. I had forgotten how nice it feels to have a little girl pampering. Amazing Husband and I took a little day trip on Saturday around southern Wisconsin. Found a fabulous quilt store in Madison called Stitchers Crossing. I think they are still working on their website so I'm not going to link to it, but honestly, the place is FABULOUS. AND (are you ready for this?) they have yarn. Good yarn. I went in search of Amy Butler fabric, and they had it. Not a huge selection, but enough to make me happy. While driving around some back roads in we drove by a house that had this famous guy holding up their mailbox.
Cool, huh? The whole front yard was full of this outrageous metal art. I didn't see any signs indicating the artist or how to contact him, which was sort of a shame.
We planned to spend the day in Mineral Point, but everything was closed. In the end, we spent some time walking around Galena, IL and then headed home. It was a nice day.
Just finished up a couple more bags for the store and Amazing Husband just got them posted to the site. A new 
green Cooper sized bag with some lovely silk embroidery on the front pocket and a Kody sized bag made out of some 
very cool rustic woven silk. Stop by Three Dog Designs and have a look.
