Crafty. I am crafty. I can admit that with little or no guilt. The fact that I like to make things has most likely been a mixed bags for my kids. Sometimes it's awesome and sometimes it's just plain embarrassing. The fact that neither of them is crafty leads me to think it might have been more often the later. Still,I love the craft project and the magic that is Pinterest is a field day for craftiness. Seriously, entire days can go by while I hunt through the wonderfulness available therein. *Note...to view some of the videos linked to you have to join Pinterest. It is free and I've yet to find a down side, if you don't count all the hours I've spent there. Just a heads upl.
Here are few I intend to give a try.
The pine cone mobile.
I fell for this simple little mobile and decided to make one like it. After it was done and hanging up I decided that it needed a little....something.
I know it's really hard to see in these pictures,(click to embiggen) but I added a feather and a small guord along with some charms and a few shiny beads that had once been a cheap bracelet. Now I am happy. The sun lights up the beads and the little feather spins in the wind. One successful project!
Look at these! Could you die? This afternoon I am taking my sassy self over to Michaels for some fabric glue and I am going to make my own version. I won't be using my favorite Toms...way to expensive for this, but you can find these simple slip ons everywhere this season. You can find a tutorial for something similar using Mod Podge here.
Speaking of Mod Podge, I have to confess that I have never used the stuff. I know...how can I even call myself crafty without any MP experience? Aren't these simple jars pretty? Might have to add some MP to my cart at Michaels today and give this a try.
I have a bracelet addiction. There can never be too many. There is no fancy tutorial for these beauties, but I think I might be able to wing it. It's the fabric wrapping that has me wondering. Might be wrapped around some rope....or something. Here's a cool video tutorial for another awesome bracelet I think I'll try.
Really, I could go on like this all day. Awesome craft ideas overflowing! I'll end with this nifty garden decoration.
So pretty and made out of the tops of bottles. But how does one cut glass bottles? Well, I'm glad you asked.
