I got a nice comment from Wenders yesterday that got me to thinking. She mentioned that Bono was her stand-in-line performer and I completely agree. Bono is the kind of guy that I want to run into at a cocktail party (that alone is hysterically funny) and have the chance to ask him about all the things that he finds important in life. He is such an inspiration, such a be-the-change person. It would be awes
ome to see him live.
Then, I was watching all my recorded shows for the week and James Taylor was on Ellen. Geez, I love James Taylor. His music is like the musical score of my life.
So finally to the thinking part. Musical taste is a really diverse and personal thing. I'm curious to hear who your "stand in line" performer is. Maybe, as I've discovered about myself, you have more than one. This might also be a chance for me to have my musical horizons broadened a bit. So come on, this is the perfect time to come out of lurkdom and leave that comment. Who is the performer you would be willing to stand in line to see live?
Alice Cooper of course.
BTW, I never told you that my favorite Beatles song is Norwegian Wood.

Have to agree with Bono. I was lucky enough to see the Joshua Tree Tour as well as the Auchtung Baby one (I slaughtered the spelling I think...), but I'd stand in line again! I'd stand in line for Oingo Boingo if they toured any more. Danny Elfman is just a genius. And finally Depeche Mode. Can you tell I'm a child of the 80's? Oh from this eon, I'd stand in line for Matchbox 20!!

Well, lately my feet hurt so much! I can't think of any musical groups, but I'd stand in line to watch Wolf Kahn paint/draw. Maybe Sting or Leonard Cohen. Would just as soon buy the CD and stay home, though!!

Growing up it was Elton John, now I think John Mayer and Coldplay.I would absolutely stand in line for The Police too! I'm not a lurker tho! :)

I've seen U2 many times, the first at U of I in 1987 for the Joshua Tree tour. I would also love to just hang out with Bono and the boys, but my husband would be over the top. He's a huge fan of the Edge and I think he would just like to pick his brains about all his gear.
