When I think of Will Ferrell my first mental image is the somewhat unpleasant, but completely hilarious SNL skit in which he wore nothing but a red-white-n-blue pair of skimpy briefs. He is fearless in the pursuit of comedy. In his impressive film career he has done a boat load of movies that are funny, but of somewhat questionable taste. I have just watched one that will forever change my view of Will Ferrell from slightly silly, to profoundly talented.
Stranger Than Fiction is simply a lovely film. I won't explain the plot, or give you a glimpse of a moment to look for. Just watch it and enjoy. It seems that Woolly Mutts has become your friendly neighborhood film review blog, but I just had to share this one.
Oh, and just in case you haven't seen this yet, head over to Funny or Die and see The Landlord. (and yes, I know it's not right to teach a little baby to say all those words, but holy moly is it funny.)
I just loved "Stranger than Fiction" also. I really can't understand why it wasn't on more critics' Top Ten lists at the end of last year.
I also love that little clip. I thought maybe she wasn't really saying all those bad words, but I just read an interview with her dad (Will Ferrell's friend in the clip and his co-writer) and they she did. She's just at that developmental point where she'll repeat anything you say, but won't remember or repeat it later. It's so wrong, but so funny.

I heart Will Ferrel, I really do. :) That movie was one of only a handful we saw in the theater this winter (half price matinees! woo!)
